I gave this three stars because I really liked the first two books in this series...but I was completely disappointed with this one. I hated the ending and I wanted to strangle Clara for most of the book - she comes across as self-absorbed, whiney, immature and indecisive - and extremely annoying!
I'm also still trying to figure out what the point of the whole soul mate/matching pair thing was?? Was the the author trying to create an unexpected twist to make the story somehow unique by dropping the whole soul mate thing? How can you be soul mates if the love is one-sided - and even more irritating, is how can you not be in love with the person who you claim "completes you" or is "the other half of yourself"? It seems like a lot of time and effort went into creating a sense of strong emotions with a powerful connection that went absolutely nowhere. Why? What was the point?
